Lindsay Neuert is a Master student researching the interactions between chronic pain and psychiatric disorders. Her work aims to uncover the latent relationships between specific chronic pain types and co-occurring psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD using advanced data-driven approaches. Additionally, Lindsay’s research leverages the longitudinal design of the UK Biobank to examine the temporal order of diagnoses, exploring whether chronic pain predisposes individuals to psychiatric disorders or vice versa. By integrating biological analyses, she seeks to identify the shared mechanisms underlying these comorbidities. Lindsay’s goal is to enhance diagnostics and treatment strategies, contributing to better patient outcomes for those living with chronic pain and its associated mental health challenges.
